Clusters

Nodes are grouped into logical Clusters such as Gallery, Exhibition or Building. Clusters allow for segmenting Nodes for different schedules, searchability or control of Nodes by Group.

Create a Cluster

To create a new Cluster, navigate to the Infrastructure / Clusters tab in in the menu.

Atlas Cluster management form

Clusters are primarily a grouping mechanism and only require two properties:

  • Name: The name of the Cluster. It is recommended to use the Gallery, Show or Building containing the Nodes that will be added to the Cluster.
  • Alias: A slugified (i.e. my-gallery), or abbrviated (i.e. 4ZG2) version of the Cluster name.
  • Legacy MQTT Compatibility: only necessary for Clusters running Experience Agent version 2 or lower. Experience Agent 3.0 do not require legacy compatibility. When in-doubt, DO NOT enable this.

Update a Cluster

A Cluster may be updated at any time, the Cluster Name and Alias are for display only and updates will cascade as updates are published.
