Atlas Media Player Changelog

1.0

1.0.0 (Unreleased)

  • Add: Transparent hot swap — an update to the Program already playing merges into the running playlist next time round instead of restarting it from the top (UC-803)
  • Add: Build pipeline pre-check stage fails a build early when the version already exists in the Application Repository, rather than at upload (UC-731)
  • Add: Sentry release created and finalised on main, named for the build version and carrying its commits (UC-731)
  • Add: Debian aarch64 build and deploy lane, skipped until its Application UUID is configured (UC-731)
  • Improvement: An incoming Program is checked for locally cached, playable items before it replaces the current one, so a malformed update can't take over (UC-803)
  • Improvement: Deploy delegates to the Experience Manager CI scripts, which resolve the application namespace, OS and bundle name from the Application UUID (UC-731)
  • Improvement: Windows and Debian derive the build version identically — base version plus build number, .dev off main — and deploy reuses it, not restamps (UC-731)
  • Fix: The playlist is read as playback starts, not when it was scheduled 300ms earlier — an update arriving in between was overwritten by the items it replaced (UC-803)
  • Fix: The Debian bundle was uploaded under the Experience Agent's namespace instead of the media player's (UC-731)
  • Fix: Windows bundle MD5 and SHA-256 were computed against the workspace directory, not the archive, registering empty hashes for every version (UC-731)
